Grade 6 Visual Art
This course is designed to allow students the opportunity to experience a number of techniques, methods, and procedures used in the visual arts field. The overall goal is to support and inspire the growth of every student as an artist and artful learner. Students will have the opportunity to explore their own questions about art, solve open-ended, creative problems, and engage in conversations with others about arts experiences.
Art Fees 2018/19 -
Grade 6 art includes a fee of $20.00. This fee is put towards general use of consumable art supplies, plus an individual heavy weight, coilbound (unfinished) 8.5 X 11" art journal, one 2H pencil, one 5B pencil, one soft white eraser, one #4 blending stomp, one black Sharpie fine tip marker, and a 12X16 inch canvas board, used specifically for art class. Supplies are handed to students in light weight, extra large zip lock bags (bags can be found at Dollarama if they break, as we do not have extras in the classroom). Please submit art fee payment along with school registration fees to HGI administrative secretaries (cheques, cash, and PayPal - please make cheques out to Henry G. Izatt Middle School). Students are expected to store their art supplies in their lockers, and bring their supplies with them to each class.
